Staining

Choosing that perfect colour does not have to be a daunting task. You really want to be happy with the final colour of your home. With transparent or semi-transparent stains many factors affect the final colour of your home including the species and colour of the wood itself, the condition of the wood, the preparation of the wood, previous stains and the porosity of the wood.

Colorfast

Colorfast Pre-Stain Base Coat delivers the ideal canvas for stain application and leaves behind the strong foundation necessary for long-lasting color. It’s color confidence for your log home.

Prevent the blotchiness that occurs by filling the pores to create a smoother surface and a more even stain application. Great for blasted, rough-sawn, knotty pine, or milled logs. It also prevents a picture-frame effect on interior wood.

How Much Stain do I need?

First you will need to know the square footage of the total area you are planing on staining. To figure out the square footage first take the length of the wall in feet, then multiply that by the height in feet.  Add up the square footage from all the walls you plan on staining and this will be the square footage that you plan to stain.
